Ideal for nature-tripping, camping, and relaxing vacation, Tarabanan Cottages is situated 68km north of the city center of Puerto Princesa or about an hour to 1.5-hour drive by car from the airport.

It is a perfect starting point to discover famous destinations in Palawan including the Honda Bay, Underground River (Saint Paul Subterranean National Park), Port Barton and of course, El Nido.

We also arrange activities for those who want to explore Palawan. It is just 2 hours from the Unesco Heritage site Underground River, 2 hours to Port Barton and 4 hours to El Nido. Honda Bay islands can also be explored by a boat from Tarabanan. There is also the nearby Babuyan River for cruising where you can be introduced to the rich flora and fauna (exotic birds, mangroves, wildlife) of Palawan including the centuries-old Dao tree we call the ‘Avatar Tree’ as it resembles the one in the movie. While doing the river cruise, you will be serenaded by local traditional musicians while lunch is served on board or under the Avatar Tree.

There is also Olangoan Waterfalls, a series of falls into the woods, not very far from Tarabanan. Nearby, there is also the Batak Center that showcases the works and lifestyle of the remaining Batak tribe of Puerto Princesa. Here, you will meet some members of the Batak community doing some handicrafts. For the more adventurous, you can do a three-hour trek to the Batak community and see how they live in the forests. For the even more hard-core, we offer a cross-country trekking, a three-day trip under rainforest that criss-cross seven rivers and mountains until the Saint Paul Subterranean River Park complex.

Lastly, food is something we are so proud of in Tarabanan Cottages. We don’t have a menu because our stocks are freshly sourced daily from the community. But we assure you that you will have a truly Filipino gastronomic experience at Tarabanan. We look forward to having you with us soon!  Resort PalawanResort PalawanResort Palawan
