Nestled in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines, Tarabanan Eco-Cottages is a small, family-run, eco-friendly, and community-centered commune. Our mission is to foster sustainability and social responsibility by minimizing energy usage, cultivating our vegetables, supporting community livelihoods, and promoting community-based tourism
Be one with nature
We are dedicated to environmental sustainability and the development of our local community. Our waste management plan emphasizes reduction, reuse, and recycling. We source our water from groundwater using a manual pump to minimize energy consumption and collect rainwater for our organic garden, where we offer our guests a seasonal and organic menu. We also maintain a compost system that supports our garden.
Our team, consisting of family members and residents of Sitio Tarabanan, is trained in efficient energy consumption and recycling practices. This training helps raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation, empowering each individual to contribute to significant energy savings.
Our enclave is designed to allow guests to reconnect with nature, free from the distractions of technology, at an affordable price. We invite our guests to unwind in our tranquil Zen spots and reading areas, accompanied by good books and refreshing drinks.
Where We Are
We are located in the warm and welcoming community of Sitio Tarabanan, Barangay Concepcion, just 70 kilometers from the city center of Puerto Princesa—about an hour’s drive from the airport. The residents of this charming village are known for their warmth, friendliness, and helpful nature.
Sitio Tarabanan is also home to the Batak Center, which showcases the rich culture and serves as a museum of the life and works of the Batak tribe, one of the remaining indigenous tribes in Palawan. As active members of this community, we are dedicated to providing a space where locals and visitors can enjoy and preserve the natural environment while escaping the stress and monotony of daily life.
